Dental Crowns and Bridges
Dental Crowns and Bridges

What is it?

A crown acts like a protective cap placed over a weakened or compromised tooth to restore its integrity. A bridge anchors to the teeth on either side of a gap, providing a permanent, fixed solution for missing teeth.

Who is it for?

Patients with heavily filled, cracked, or structurally weakened teeth, those who have had root canal treatment, or anyone with one or more missing teeth looking for a fixed replacement option.

Benefits
- Protection for weak or heavily filled teeth
- Prevention of fractures and cracks
- Natural bite restored and maintained
- Neighbouring teeth kept from shifting
- Reduced risk of decay and periodontal disease
More about Crowns & Bridges
Custom Mouthguards
Custom Mouthguards

What is it?

TC Smiles offers two types of custom-fitted oral protection: sport mouthguards and night guards (occlusal splints). Sport mouthguards are precision-fitted to wrap around your teeth, protecting your teeth, gums, lips and jaw during physical activity. Night guards are designed for those who grind or clench their teeth, providing the proper thickness to prevent wear while training the jaw muscles to relax.

Who is it for?

Adults and children who play contact or collision sports, and anyone who grinds or clenches their teeth (bruxism), whether during the day from stress or at night while sleeping.

Benefits
- Concussion risk reduced during sport
- Prevents tooth wear and breakage from grinding
- Relief from jaw pain and frequent headaches
- Comfortable fit that allows normal breathing and speech
More about Custom Mouthguards
Dentures

Dentures are carefully designed so that chewing and speech are not affected.

Who is it for?

Patients who have lost some or all of their teeth due to trauma, genetic causes, or bacterial issues, and are looking for a removable or implant-supported tooth replacement option.

Benefits
- Multiple styles to suit different needs and budgets

Emergency Dentistry
Emergency Dentistry

What is it?

Who is it for?

Anyone experiencing a dental emergency, including persistent toothaches, facial swelling or abscess, broken or knocked-out teeth, sudden jaw pain, unexplained bleeding, or severe pain following a tooth extraction.

Benefits
- Same-day appointments prioritised
- Fast relief from dental pain
- Prevents minor problems from worsening
- Flexible payment options and health fund rebates on-site

Dental Fillings
Dental Fillings

What is it?

At TC Smiles, fillings use a tooth-coloured resin and filler matrix that is adhesively bonded directly to the tooth. The area is numbed before treatment, the cavity is cleaned out, and the white resin material is then placed and smoothed flush with the tooth. This approach preserves more natural tooth structure and reduces the risk of fracturing.

Who is it for?

Patients with cavities caused by bacteria, sugary drinks, or trauma, as well as those noticing tooth discolouration or pain that may indicate early decay.

Benefits
- Tooth-coloured result for a natural appearance
- More natural tooth structure preserved
- Comfortable procedure with local anaesthetic
- No mechanical attachment needed

Root Canal Treatment
Root Canal Treatment

What is it?

Root canal treatment is carried out over two or three appointments depending on the severity of the issue. The first stage addresses the immediate problem by cleaning bacteria from inside the tooth and placing medicine to relieve pain. Once the tooth is asymptomatic, a ceramic crown may be recommended to protect it from functional forces and maintain aesthetics.

Who is it for?

Patients with an inflamed or necrotic tooth nerve, typically presenting with toothaches, sensitivity to hot or cold, radiating pain, or pain when biting down.

Benefits
- Natural tooth saved rather than extracted
- Immediate pain relief at the first appointment
- Infection cleared from inside the tooth
- Long-lasting results with proper care

Sedation Dentistry
Sedation Dentistry

What is it?

Sedation options include tablets, nitrous gas, and IV sedation. With IV sedation, a qualified anaesthetist is present throughout the procedure to ensure safety and comfort. The patient remains conscious but deeply relaxed, and may have little to no memory of the treatment. Once complete, patients recover in a dedicated recovery room before being collected by a designated escort.

Who is it for?

Patients who experience dental anxiety or phobia, those who want to avoid remembering a procedure, or anyone needing multiple or more extensive treatments completed in a single visit.

Benefits
- Deeply relaxed state throughout treatment
- Multiple procedures completed in one visit
- Qualified anaesthetist present for IV sedation
- More affordable than hospital-based treatment

Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Wisdom Teeth Extractions

What is it?

Wisdom teeth removal begins with a thorough assessment of the pain, swelling, infection, and tooth position. Panoramic or 3D X-rays are taken to get a comprehensive view before proceeding. Depending on the case, removal can be performed in our office or may require surgical intervention or referral to a specialist.

Who is it for?

Patients whose wisdom teeth are causing pain, inflammation, or recurring infection, or where teeth are growing sideways, backwards, or in a position that poses risk to surrounding teeth.

Benefits
- Pain and infection resolved
- Simple or surgical options available
- 3D X-rays for precise treatment planning
- Specialist referral arranged when needed

Scaling & Root Planing
Scaling & Root Planing

What is it?

Scaling and root planing is a deep cleaning procedure for patients with periodontally compromised teeth. At TC Smiles, the first appointment begins with a thorough assessment of the condition and the factors contributing to it. Treatment is typically completed over several appointments, with each visit helping to keep bacteria from causing further damage.

Who is it for?

Patients with bacteria and tartar buildup beneath the gumline, particularly those experiencing bleeding or swollen gums, bad breath, loose teeth, tooth sensitivity, receding gums, or visible tartar.

Benefits
- Harmful tartar removed from teeth and roots
- Further damage to teeth and jaw prevented
- Whole-body health supported, including heart health

Facial Injectables
Facial Injectables

What is it?

TC Smiles offers two types of facial injectable treatments: anti-wrinkle therapy and cosmetic dermal fillers. Anti-wrinkle injections relax the hyperdynamic muscles that cause lines to form on the skin. Dermal fillers use naturally occurring substances such as hyaluronic acid to restore lost volume through micro-injections, with no surgery required.

Who is it for?

Adults looking to address wrinkles, fine lines, or areas of lost facial volume without undergoing surgery, and those wanting to complement cosmetic dental treatments for an overall facial refresh.

Benefits
- Wrinkles and fine lines visibly reduced
- Lost facial volume restored
- No surgery or significant downtime required
- Natural-looking results using naturally occurring substances
- Can be combined with other cosmetic treatments
More about Facial Injectables
Dental Implants
Dental Implants

What is it?

Dental implants involve placing a titanium screw into the jawbone under local anaesthetic, onto which a crown, bridge, or denture is later attached. Treatment takes place across three stages: an initial consultation with impressions; the surgical placement of the implant; and the fitting of the final restoration after a healing period. TC Smiles uses MIS implants, among the most widely used on the market today.

Who is it for?

Adults in good general health with sufficient gum tissue and jawbone who have one or more missing teeth and are looking for a permanent, fixed replacement option.

Benefits
- Looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth
- Permanent and fixed in place
- Adjacent teeth left untouched
- Prevents shifting of surrounding teeth
- Easy to clean and maintain long-term
More about Dental Implants
Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening

What is it?

TC Smiles offers teeth whitening using the Philips Zoom system, available as an in-chair treatment or a take-home kit. The in-chair option uses a whitening gel activated by an LED light during a single appointment. The take-home kit includes custom-fitted trays, enough gel for 18 applications, desensitising toothpaste, and is worn overnight at a pace that suits you.

Who is it for?

Anyone looking to brighten discoloured or stained teeth, whether from food, drink, age, or lifestyle factors, and wanting either fast in-chair results or a more gradual at-home option.

Benefits
- In-chair or take-home options available
- Custom-fitted trays for precise gel placement
- Higher active ingredient concentration than over-the-counter kits
- No damage to tooth structure

Veneers
Veneers

What is it?

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite material that are bonded to the front of the teeth to improve their appearance and restore strength. For porcelain veneers, a conservative amount of enamel is removed before impressions are taken and sent to a laboratory for custom fabrication.

Who is it for?

Patients with crowded, gapped, misaligned, or misshapen teeth, as well as those with worn, chipped, or discoloured teeth where the enamel has weakened or worn away.

Benefits
- Smile appearance and tooth strength restored
- More conservative than dental crowns
- Custom-made to suit your shape and colour goals
- Long-lasting results of 10 to 20 years
Read More about Veneers
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic Bonding

What is it?

Cosmetic bonding involves applying tooth-coloured material directly to existing teeth to improve their shape, size, and appearance. Guided by comprehensive templates, the team applies the bonding material with close attention to detail. Minimal enamel is removed, making it one of the least invasive cosmetic options available.

Who is it for?

Patients with chipped, discoloured, or shorter teeth, gaps between teeth, or those looking for a more affordable alternative to veneers for cosmetic smile improvements.

Benefits
- Digital smile preview before treatment begins
- More affordable than veneers
- Chips, gaps, and discolouration addressed in one visit
- Natural-looking, tooth-coloured result
More about Cosmetic Bonding
Clear Correct
Clear Correct

What is it?

ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system that gradually shifts teeth into alignment using a series of custom-made, removable aligners. After an initial consultation and impressions, the aligners are created by the ClearCorrect laboratory and worn for 22 hours a day.

Who is it for?

Adults and teens looking to straighten misaligned, crowded, or overlapping teeth without the wires and brackets of traditional braces, and who want a discreet, removable orthodontic option.

Benefits
- Nearly invisible aligners
- Removable for eating, drinking, and special occasions
- No wires or brackets to manage
- Custom-made to each patient's needs
More about ClearCorrect
Invisalign
Invisalign

What is it?

Invisalign uses SmartForce Technology to create a series of custom-made clear aligners that gradually move teeth into the desired position. A new set of aligners is worn approximately every two weeks, with check-ups at the practice every three months on average.

Who is it for?

Adults and teens wanting to straighten their teeth discreetly, without the discomfort of brackets and wires, and who prefer fewer clinic visits than traditional braces require.

Benefits
- Virtually invisible during treatment
- Removable for eating, brushing, and flossing
- No brackets or wires to irritate gums
- Fewer checkup visits than traditional braces
More about Invisalign
Quick Straight Teeth
Quick Straight Teeth

What is it?

Quick Straight Teeth is a fixed orthodontic system that uses tooth-coloured brackets and wires applied only to the teeth that are visible when you speak or smile. Treatment typically takes between 4 and 24 weeks, with progress check-ups scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks throughout.

Who is it for?

Adults who want to straighten their visible smile teeth quickly and discreetly, without the appearance or coverage of traditional metal braces across all teeth.

Benefits
- Treatment completed in as little as 4 weeks
- Tooth-coloured brackets and wires are hardly noticeable
- Applied only to "smile teeth" for greater comfort
- More comfortable than full traditional braces
